Statement of faith

The fundamental teachings of the Bokialghat Christian Revival Church are reflected in the following clear statements of faith:

1. We believe in all the verbal motivation of the recognized group of Scriptures as initially given. The Scriptures are impeccable, inerrant, and the sole and ultimate expert on all matters of trust and direct. (II Tim. 3:16; 1 Cor. 2:13).

2. We believe in the Eternal Divinity that has been discovered as a God existing in the three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, recognizable but invisible. (Mt 28:19; 2 Cor 13:14).

3. We believe in the creation, trial, and fall of man as recorded in Genesis; his complete evil from another world and the failure to achieve divine justice. (Romans 5:12, 18).

4. We believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, the Saviour of mankind, He was conceived of the Holy Spirit, through a Virgin. He is a very God and a very man.

5. We believe that Christ died for our sins, was buried and rose again on the third day, and personally appeared to His disciples. (1 Cor 15: 1-4; Rom 4:25). And we practice confessing sins for forgiveness. (Proverbs 28:13; 1Jn 1: 9).

6. We believe in Jesus' bodily ascension to heaven, his exaltation, and the personal, literal, and bodily return again the second time to his Church. (Jn 14: 2,3; 1Th 4: 13-18).

7. We believe in the salvation of salvation by grace, through repentance and faith in the ideal and sufficient work of the cross of Calvary by which we obtain the remission of sins. (Ephesians 2: 8,9; Heb 9:12, 22; Rom 5:11).

8. We believe in water baptism by immersion in the Name of the Eternal Godhead in order to fulfill the command of the Lord Jesus Christ.

9. We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit as a genuine experience on or after, with the test of the Scriptures, specifically, speaking in tongues as the Spirit give voice. (Acts 2: 1-4; 8: 14-17; 10: 44-46; Galatians 3: 14-15). We believe in the operation of the Gifts of the Spirit as mentioned in 1 Corinthians 12:14.

10. We believe in the Spirit-filled life, a life of division of the world and culminating in holiness in the fear of God as an expression of true Christian faith. (Eph. 5:18; 2Cor 5:14; 7: 1). Furthermore, we practice casting out demons to triumph over Satan. (Mt 4:10; Mk 16: 17-18; James 4: 7). As Spirit-filled believers, we practice praises to the Lord-Jehovah as practiced by the Holy Angels in the presence of God. (Ps 150: 1,6; 117: 1; Isa 6: 3).

11. We believe in healing power or divine healing in its various aspects as practiced in the early Church. (Acts 4:30; Ro 8:11; 1 Cor 12: 9; James 5:14). And we practice the consecration of fasting (Mt 17: 14-21).

12 .. We believe in the Lord's table, commonly called the Communion or the Lord's Supper, for believers. (1Cor 11: 28-32; Mt 26: 26-28).

13. We believe that there is a true universal Church, made up of genuine believers, but this universal church is also made up of many local churches in certain locations. These churches are under the sovereign sovereignty of the Lord Jesus Christ, they exercise autonomous government under Him, they administer all their local affairs and ministries, as well as the spread of the Gospel. (Acts 15:22; with Mt 16:18; 18: 15-20).

14. The rapture of the church, the bodily resurrection of the dead in Christ, and the translation of those who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord is the blessed hope of the church. (Ti 2:13; 1Th 4: 16-18; Ro 8:23; 1Co 15: 51-52).

15. The revelation of the Lord Jesus Christ from heaven, the salvation of national Israel and the millennial kingdom of Christ on earth is the biblical promise and hope of the world. (2Th 1: 7; Rev 19: 11-16; Ro 11: 15-27; Rev 20: 1-7).

16. After the millennial reign, the current heaven and earth will pass and God will introduce a new heaven and a new earth. (2 Peter 3:13; Revelation 21: 1).
